We've used these filters throughout the DALUA Fishroom for years in our shrimp tanks, fry grow-out systems, livebearer tanks and L-number breeding projects because they simply work. They're still the first filter we reach for, and if they're good enough for Smaug, our giant goldfish with an appetite that never seems to end, they're good enough for just about any aquarium.

THREE STAGES OF FILTRATION

🟢 Mechanical Filtration

The dual sponge captures fish waste, uneaten food and suspended debris before it breaks down, helping keep your aquarium cleaner while protecting delicate livestock from strong filter intakes.

🟢 Biological Filtration

The large sponge and dual media chambers provide an enormous surface area for beneficial bacteria to colonise, converting harmful ammonia and nitrite into safer nitrate for a healthier, more stable aquarium.

As the sponge matures, it also develops biofilm that shrimp and fry naturally graze on throughout the day.

🟢 Chemical Filtration

Unlike a traditional sponge filter, the dual media chambers let you customise your filtration to suit your aquarium.

Run activated carbon to remove medications, tannins and unwanted impurities, filter floss for crystal-clear water, or add your favourite biological media to further increase filtration capacity.

You can even run different media in each chamber, giving you complete control over how your filter performs.

The adjustable sponge arms let you position the filter to suit almost any aquarium layout, while the adjustable outlet nozzle allows you to customise the amount of airflow and surface agitation your aquarium receives.
